Lower Manhattan Development Corporation Announces Launch of Virtual Timeline Exhibit Highlighting the Rebuilding of the World Trade Center Site and Surrounding Areas
The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation launched an interactive web timeline exhibit highlighting the many milestones achieved during the 30-month rebuilding process. The Recovery to Renewal virtual exhibit is modeled after the physical exhibition currently on display at the World Financial Center Winter Garden, and highlights the process surrounding the rebuilding of the World Trade Center Site and the general revitalization of Lower Manhattan. To date, Recovery to Renewal has hosted hundreds-of- thousands of individuals since the first installment in December 2002, which showcased the initial 9 designs proposed for the WTC Site. The LMDC created the virtual timeline to allow individuals from around the world another opportunity to participate and be informed about the rebuilding process.
